I just want to take this moment to thank some of the writers of the letters supporting Joe Arpaio in last week’s paper.

If it weren’t for their contributions I would have forgotten to start up my monthly recurring donation to the ACLU.

It’s something I’ve thought of doing for a while, but it took one of our star contributors asking, “what are the left-wing socialists after? How and why are they tearing down the fabric of this great nation?” for me to understand the mission and realize that I was remiss if I didn’t support the ACLU.

Thanks again, noble citizens of Fountain Hills (who came here all by the up and up, of course)! I call upon my ACLU-supporting brethren to write in and also let them know how grateful you are for the reminder!
