Girl Scouts improve communities

There is greatness in every girl.

Girl Scouts plant trees, collect items for the needy, build prayer gardens, fix broken sidewalks, or recycle plastic – whatever it takes to make their neighborhoods better.

Organizers invite local girls to find their greatness by joining Fountain Hills’ Girl Scouts.

Parents and guardians of any girl ages five to 18 interested in being a part of Girl Scouts are encouraged to visit girlscoutsaz.org and click on “Become a Girl Scout Now.”

Girl Scouts is a non-profit organization centered on girls discovering their interests, connecting with new friends and taking action to make the world a better.

There is a new registration procedure this year. All registrations will be handled through Girl Scouts Arizona Cactus Pine Council. Don’t wait — local troops are forming now.

Adults who want to join in the fun by volunteering can sign up on this website as well.

Registration can be carried out in just three simple steps. First, complete the short form and you will be directed to a list of troop opportunities in Fountain Hills.

Next, select the opportunity that meets your needs/desires. If you don’t see an opportunity that works then select “unsure” and a council staff member will contact you.

Finally, click “next” to complete your membership information. You will receive an email confirmation after completion.

If you have questions or need more information, contact Carole Glenn at cglenn@girlscoutsaz.org or 602-452-7031.
