Gas prices down slightly in Fountain Hills, highest in 4 years in Arizona

As travelers hit the road for Memorial Day weekend, gas prices dropped slightly this week around the Valley, falling 5 cents to $4.82 a gallon, according to a release from AAA.

That price is up 9 cents over the last month, and is up $1.23 a gallon from this time last year.

The state average, despite dropping 3 cents to $4.80 a gallon, is the highest prices it has been in 4 years. The price is also $1.44 higher than this time last year.
