A new name, a new logo and a new website have been the focus of Fountain Hills Friends of the Library, formerly known as the Fountain Hills Library Association, for much of the last year.
Cameron Ribail, who will be a senior at Fountain Hills High School this coming school year, has played a major role in making the new logo a reality.
One of the Friends’ priorities is to encourage, challenge and support the young people of our community, through our local library, as they pursue and discover the future for themselves, their communities and the world.

'Friends' unveil new branding

A new name, a new logo and a new website have been the focus of Fountain Hills Friends of the Library, formerly known as the Fountain Hills Library Association, for much of the last year.
Cameron Ribail, who will be a senior at Fountain Hills High School this coming school year, has played a major role in making the new logo a reality.
One of the Friends’ priorities is to encourage, challenge and support the young people of our community, through our local library, as they pursue and discover the future for themselves, their communities and the world.
At the encouragement of the group’s student director, Sara Koroli, the challenge of creating a new logo was given to the Graphic Design 2 class at the Fountain Hills High School.
Cameron Ribail, when presented with the challenge by his teacher, Bonnie Perkins, took up the project. Thanks, Cameron, for your creative work on behalf of Fountain Hills Friends of the Library.
Cameron is one of those intelligent, talented young people with whom it is a pleasure to have a conversation.
His ultimate goal is to be a mechanical or graphic design engineer after attaining his engineering degree at either University of Arizona or Arizona State University.
Extra-curricular activities in the Research Club and Vex Robotics Club exhibit Cameron’s passion for challenge.
His Vex Robotics team went to the state competition this year with his engineering class, and the Research Club is endeavoring to develop a 100- mile-per gallon car! A very welcome prospect.
Cameron said, “My inspiration has come from my family, teachers and my friends; and I want to be a good example for my younger brother, Brandon, because he looks up to me.”
Cameron comes by his work ethic naturally. He, his father, Don, and his brother, who is 8 years old, work together every spare minute restoring classic cars. The latest of their restorations include a 1966 Datsun Roadster and, in progress, 1959 Autobianchi Bianchina, an early Fiat 500.
Another accomplishment...Cameron’s FHHS potato gun team was one of the teams that likely beat the record in the Guinness World Records. The official notification will come out in August, 2014.
The Fountain Hills Friends of the Library commend you, Cameron, and all the enterprising youth of our community.
