“Free the Kids” was co-founded by Fountain Hills resident and Four Peaks Rotary Club member, Jack Reynolds.

Reynolds started the project when he was living in North Carolina to support his brother-in-law, Fr. Marc Boisvert, retired U.S. Navy chaplain.

Director Frank Irr and Reynolds provided an update April 11 to the club members of the past years’ events concerning efforts to save and give hope to the “Army of Angels” and Espwa’s abandoned children of Haiti.

The number of children being abandoned continues to grow as the situation in Haiti worsens. Since the organization first opened its arms in greeting the children being served, the numbers have increased by almost 500 percent.

Sponsorship and donations by Four Peaks Rotary Club are essential if the group is to continue with its programs of food, shelter, education, vocational training, healthcare, understanding and love. A financial challenge is open to various other individuals and organizations throughout the United States willing to make a contribution.
