The Independence Day holiday means closings for government offices and other services in the area.

Town Hall will take the day off for the holiday.

The Community Center and the library will also be closed on Thursday, July 4.

The offices of the Fountain Hills School District and Fountain Hills Charter School sites are closed for the summer.

The Sanitary District and Chaparral City Water Company will have their offices closed on July 4 to observe the holiday. Sanitary and water personnel will be available in the event of an emergency by using the after-hours emergency telephone number.

Bank branches in Fountain Hills will be closed Thursday, July 4.

There is a one-day delay for the trash collection schedule by Republic Services later in the week. Those normally collected on Thursday will receive service on Friday, July 5, and those collected on Friday will be picked up on Saturday.

The Times office will be closed on Thursday, July 4, but there are no changes to advertising or editorial deadlines for the holiday week.
