Four Peaks Women’s Club, the hands-on women’s service club in Fountain Hills, is ready to start another year of service.
The first meeting of the year was held at the home of club Secretary Barb Hansen Wednesday, Sept. 11. The meeting was started by the new club President Joyce Stehlik.
The club prides itself on its flexibility in response to charitable needs, according to a press release.
Over the years, the club has been involved in several projects including working on behalf of the Extended Hands Food Bank, Fountain Hills Theater, Crews’n Healthmobile, Veterans First, Youth for Troops, Home Delivered Meals, Adopt-A-Street, Children’s Cancer Network and Homeless MATters.
The club also works with the Christmas Angel program with the Boys and Girls Club and adding to the list this year, the club will now volunteer with the Second Chance store at the Fountain Hills Middle School. At the club meeting, Ginny Trulson gave a presentation to the club on the store’s goals.
