The Fountain Hills Youth Theater is hosting its Spring break camp featuring a Broadway-style musical revue.
The camp is filled with famous scenes and songs from favorite movie musicals from classics like “Annie and Oliver” or modern hits like “Frozen” and “High School Musical,” campers will pull together a revue bringing the hits of Hollywood to the stage, according to a press release.
Spring break camp will focus on all the skills and real-world experiences needed for campers to learn how to perform on stage, learning the terminology and techniques needed to be in any stage production, the release said.
Each camper will receive their own personal song with sheet music and an mp3 piano accompaniment to perform that they can take to any audition they may participate in the future, the release said. Campers will show off their performance skills by presenting their revue to family and friends on the final day of camp.
The Spring break camp is held March 11-15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open for registration to students ages eight and up.
The participation fee is $300 and students are led by Debby Rosenthal, FHT’s director of education
