Fountain Hills watercolor artist Cheryl Prather will show off her painting process at the Fountain Hills Artists’ Gallery soon.
As part of the gallery’s weekly demonstrations, Prather will demonstrate her process from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 3 at 16858 E. Avenue of the Fountains, according to a press release. Prather has spent most of her life in the southwest either in Arizona or New Mexico, and cited the vibrant colors and unique light of the region as inspiration for her work.
Watercolor is a medium that Prather finds hypnotic and addictive, according the press release. She aims to capture the essence of the desert landscapes, architecture, flora and wildlife through the medium of watercolor.
