Fountain Hills Town Council to tackle wireless communications, fire department needs

First meeting of the year

The Fountain Hills Town Council will seek direction on securing legal services to review drafts to the town’s wireless communication towers and antennas during its first meeting of the calendar year on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Given the technical nature of the ordinances and legal parameters, the council is soliciting professional services to consult and assist with documents regarding the small cell portion of the project so that it can be completed in the next three to four months.

The council will also consider approval of over $250,000 toward two dozen self-contained breathing apparatus that the Fire Department is requesting. The current ones in use are outdated, according to background information provided.
