Fountain Hills Town Council to set 2027 budget, comprehensive fees

Also reviewing permit for Dairy Queen drive-through lane

After setting the tentative fiscal year 2027 budget in May, the Fountain Hills Town Council will look to approve the final budget during its meeting on Tuesday, June 2.

Fiscal year 2027 begins July 1, 2026, and ends June 30, 2027. With that, the council will review and look to approve the comprehensive fee schedule that includes new or modified fees for community services and amenities.

The long-awaiting return of Dairy Queen on the southwest corner of Saguaro Boulevard may take a step forward as the council will review a six-month extension toward a special use permit pertaining to the removal of nine parking spaces to the south of the building to make way for a second drive-through lane. The permit was given the green light by the Planning and Zoning Commission in December 2025.
