Fountain Hills Town Council to consider replacement for Grzybowski

Councilwoman stepped down after last meeting

Fountain Hills Town Council will consider a replacement for Councilwoman Sharron Grzybowski who stepped down following the council meeting on Sept. 4.

The likely replacement for Grzybowski’s final four or five meetings appears to be Councilwoman-elect Gayle Earle. Several speakers at the Sept. 5 session urged the council to appoint Earle. She received the greatest number of votes for council at the August Primary Election, and was the only candidate to be elected outright, all others are in a runoff during the November General Election.

The Town Code, per State Statute, calls for the council to appoint a replacement for any vacancy on the council “in a reasonable length of time from the occurrence of the vacancy.”
