Fountain Hills Town Council temporarily halts use of new fee schedule

Session to review possible changes set for Sept. 9

Fountain Hills Town Council has placed a temporary pause to the town’s rental fee schedule as it plans to review the fees during a work session on Tuesday, Sept. 9.

The council voted 6-1 to implement the temporary suspension during a special meeting Aug. 5. Vice Mayor Allen Skillicorn was the dissenting vote.

Mayor Gerry Friedel and other council members had been receiving comments from community members seeking additional clarification and understanding of the fee schedule that was adopted with the budget for FY 26, specifically as it relates to non-profit organizations. That schedule had eliminated the discounted fees for non-profits and residents.
