Fountain Hills Town Council supports anti-human trafficking efforts

Proclamation at Feb. 4 council session

The Fountain Hills Town Council took a stand behind the efforts of Not in My City and area churches by proclaiming January Anti-Human Trafficking Month in Fountain Hills.

Councilmember Brenda Kalivianakis read the proclamation that noted the United States is one of the worst countries globally for human trafficking, and Arizona ranks in the top 15 states nationally with the highest rates of human trafficking.

The proclamation calls on everyone to support the efforts of schools, churches, non-profit organizations, law enforcement and businesses in putting an end to human trafficking.
