Fountain Hills Town Council split on stipend increase

Hasn’t been adjusted since 2000

For the second consecutive year, the Fountain Hills Town Council denied increasing monthly compensation raises for council members and the mayor.

The proposed monthly stipend, which would move council members from $400 per month to $750 and the mayor from $600 to $1,100, failed majority by 3-3 vote as Councilwoman Peggy McMahon was absent.

Councilmembers Rick Watts, Brenda Kalivianakis and Allen Skillicorn voted no.
