Fountain Hills Town Council moves forward with Plat 208 projects

Proposed restroom and public space

The Fountain Hills Town Council voted unanimously to continue negotiations and development ideas with the Plat 208 board for two properties along the Avenue of the Fountains.

During the Nov. 18 meeting, town economic development director Amanda Jacobs says two properties remain in negotiation, but have progressed for Fountain Hills to renovate for better public usage.

Jacobs said the first property, located between Fearless Kitty Rescue and Sofrita, will be a proposed restroom while the second space between Zab Thai and Dr. Jodies Pet Stuff will be a proposed placemaking concept for seating and social gathering. Both align with the downtown strategy, which was revised and unanimously approved in 2024.
