Fountain Hills Town Council discusses urban camping regulations

Provided feedback to staff for potential updates

Councilman Allen Skillicorn suggests updating the Town Code ordinance related to urban camping.

The Fountain Hills Town Council passed a Town Code ordinance related to urban camping in 2023, and now some council members think it might be time to update and strengthen the ordinance.

Vice Mayor Allen Skillicorn asked that the item be brought up for discussion, saying he believes the situation has gotten worse since the ordinance was adopted two years ago.

“We need to provide more tools for MCSO to work with,” Skillicorn said.
