Fountain Hills Town Council defers discussion on travel policies

Will update procedures to include council members

Fountain Hills town council members are not currently subject to policies related to town-related travel, however, that may change following a discussion at a recent council meeting.

The proposal originated from a budget discussion related to possibly increasing the monthly financial stipend for council members. That was defeated and will not be included in the final budget.

However, Councilmember Allen Skillicorn asked staff to provide information for a possible review of official travel procedures. The information reflects that while the staff is subject to procedures and policies for town-related travel, council members are not.
