Fountain Hills to complete full reconstruction of Thistle Drive

Among other roads listed in “poor condition”

Fountain Hills will move forward with a $1.6 million reconstruction of Thistle Drive.

The Fountain Hills Town Council voted 5-2 to complete a full reconstruction of Thistle Drive during its meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Similarly to the discussion regarding Richwood Avenue in which the council majority voted for a full reconstruction, the same questions surrounding the direct selection of Thistle Drive surfaced.

Councilmembers Peggy McMahon and Brenda Kalivianakis were the dissenting votes, with Kalivianakis calling her no a “protest vote.”
