The Fountain Hills Times Independent is hiring a reporter to cover entertainment, business, religion and club.

As some of you may have heard, reporter Cyrus Guccione wrapped up his run with The Fountain Hills Times Independent as 2025 drew to a close.
We’re going to miss the heck out of him, but everyone at the office offers him best wishes and luck on his next adventure. He has been a fantastic asset to the team, something many folks around the community have let me know over the years. I was always glad to hear those kind words, but it was something I already knew just from working with Cyrus on a daily basis. He knew how to find stories that informed and entertained, all while wrangling the countless updates and press releases from local clubs, businesses, churches, entertainers and the like. Each paper was packed with the results of his tireless efforts, even if you didn’t always see his name attached to every story.
The paper won’t be the same without him, but we’ll keep marching forward to bring the community its daily news. We simply ask for a bit of patience as we make the transition and find a replacement.

For the time being, anyone needing coverage in Cyrus’ beats (entertainment, business, clubs, religion) should send information to rwinslett@iniusa.org. We’ve got an array of folks chipping in to keep things rolling in the meantime and we’re doing our best in the background to locate the right fit for the job.
Speaking of which, we’re hiring! We’ve had an ad making the rounds for a few weeks now, but I wanted to amplify that for the local crowd, just in case a perfect candidate is sitting right here in our own back yard.
If you think covering local businesses, clubs, theaters and the like is a good fit for you, please reach out to rwinslett@iniusa.org or fill out an application online at https://tinyurl.com/bde54mvb.
