Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Oct. 24, through Wednesday, Oct. 30.
Thursday, Oct. 24
*Deputies responded to the corner of Shea Boulevard and Arista Lane where a driver was stopped for criminal speed (75 in a 50). The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded the 3000 block of Manzanita Ln. where a domestic violence assault incident was reported.
*Deputies responded to the corner of Fountain Hills Boulevard and Keith McMahan Drive where a traffic collision occurred after a vehicle made an unsafe turn and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to the corner of Palisades and Shea boulevards where a traffic collision occurred after a vehicle made an unsafe turn and side swiped another vehicle. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where a private property hit and run traffic collision was reported after a witness observed a vehicle strike a parked vehicle in a parking lot and then flee the area without exchanging information. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
Friday, Oct. 25
*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Sunflower Drive where it was reported that an unknown subject posing as a business as part of a fraudulent scheme defrauded the victim out of approximately $45,000.
*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Blvd. where a private property hit and run traffic collision was reported after a parked vehicle was damaged by an unknown driver who fled the area without exchanging information. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where it was reported that a minor subject was found to be in possession of tobacco products. Charges were submitted to the juvenile county attorney.
Saturday, Oct. 26
*Deputies responded to the corner of Fayette and Carmel drives where a hit and run collision occurred after a driver lost control of a vehicle and crashed into the yard of a residence. The driver then fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
*Deputies responded to the corner of Tee Ct. and Devlin Circle where a traffic collision occurred after a driver’s foot slipped off the brake pedal resulting in their vehicle striking a retaining wall at a residence. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that a subject made unreasonably loud noises in an effort to disturb a neighbor. Charges were submitted to the Fountain Hills court for review.
Sunday, Oct. 27
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject shoplifted items from a business.
Monday, Oct. 28
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject shoplifted items from a business.
*Deputies responded to the corner of Fountain Hills Boulevard and Bainbridge Avenue where a driver was stopped for speed (52 in a 35). A records check revealed the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains where a violation of a court order was reported.
*Deputies responded to the 10000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where a domestic violence assault incident was reported.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains where it was reported that an unknown subject defrauded the victim out of approximately $31,000 after an online scam.
Wednesday, Oct. 30
*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Blvd. where a private property traffic collision occurred after a vehicle made an unsafe turn in a business parking lot and struck a fire hydrant. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Highland Drive where a domestic violence assault incident was reported. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.
