Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Oct. 17, through Wednesday, Oct. 23.
Thursday, Oct. 17
*Deputies responded to McDowell Mountain Road when a driver was stopped for speed (67 in a 45). A records check revealed that the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of McDowell Mountain Road where a child abuse allegation was made by a mandatory reporter. The case was forwarded to SVU detectives for review.
*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Kendall Drive where it was reported that an unknown subject took items from the complainant’s residence.
*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Kendall Drive where it was reported that a subject threatened the complainant outside of his residence.
Friday, Oct. 18
*Deputies responded to the corner of Fountain Hills Boulevard and Arroyo Vista Drive where a hit-and-run traffic collision occurred after a driver failed to control their speed to avoid a collision, rear-ending another vehicle. The driver then fled the scene without stopping or exchanging information. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to the corner of Fountain Hills Boulevard and Ironwood Drive where a driver was stopped for mandatory insurance suspended plates. A records check revealed that the driver’s license was also suspended. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded to the corner of Fountain Hills and Shea boulevards where a driver was stopped for a suspended license plate. The deputy initiated a DUI investigation and a blood sample was taken and submitted for testing. The case is pending lab results.
Saturday, Oct. 19
*Deputies responded to the corner of Fountain Hills and Palisades boulevards where a traffic collision occurred after a vehicle failed to yield from a private driveway. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed. A records check revealed that one of the driver’s licenses was also suspended. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Kendall Drive where it was reported that an unknown subject took items from the complainant’s residence.
Sunday, Oct. 20
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject entered a residence through a doggy door while the homeowner was away.
*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject took the victim’s bicycle from a bike rack in front of a business.
*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Shea Blvd. where a domestic violence incident was reported in the parking lot of a business.
*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Cambria Drive where it was reported that an unknown subject attempted to enter the victim’s home through a window.
*Deputies responded to a single-vehicle traffic collision after a driver left the roadway and struck a tree. Responding deputies initiated a DUI investigation and a blood sample was taken and submitted for testing. The case is pending lab results.
Monday, Oct. 21
*Deputies responded to the corner of Boulder Drive and Rocky Mountain Place where a traffic collision occurred after a vehicle failed to yield at an intersection and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject threatened the complainant at a business.
*Deputies responded to the corner of El Lago Boulevard and La Montana Drive where a traffic collision occurred after a vehicle failed to yield at an intersection and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported, and a vehicle was towed.
Tuesday, Oct. 22
*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Windyhill Road where it was reported that an unknown subject contacted the complainant and attempted to defraud him out of money by posing as a celebrity.
*Deputies responded to the corner of Saguaro Boulevard and Panorama Drive where a traffic collision occurred after a wild javelina ran into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
