Every month, Shepherd of the Hills partners with a different organization to support those in need.
In June, Shepherd of the Hills partnered with Grace Lutheran Church in Phoenix to help meet practical needs for homeless individuals throughout the Valley.
In the past, the church collected bottled water for Grace during the summer—but this year, Maricopa County is providing that water, so Shepherd has been focusing on other essentials, including basic personal care items that they urgently need to distribute to people experiencing homelessness.
Now at the end of the month, Shepherd of the Hills requests final donations from the community to go toward helping support homeless people living in Phoenix.
A list of items that are needed include:
- T-shirts (L and XL)
- Women’s underclothing (7-9)
- Travel-size shampoo, conditioner and hand lotion
- Soft toothbrushes and small toothpaste
- Small deodorant
- Nonperishable snacks
A collection box is set up in the Shepherd of the Hills lobby every Sunday this month. A delivery will be made Monday, June 30.
These are small things—but they can bring real comfort, dignity and care to someone facing a very difficult season, according to a press release.
Shepherd of the Hills is located at 16150 E. El Lago Blvd. and is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
