Fountain Hills schools growing bonds with FMYN

FHUSD Board approved Indian Policies and Procedures

Fountain Hills Unified School District (FHUSD) and Fort McDowel Yavapai Nation (FMYN) have made recent strides in collaboration with each other.

The FHUSD Governing Board met for a special meeting on Jan. 29 to vote on the Indian Policies and Procedures for the 2023-24 school year.

Krista Andreae, executive assistant to FHUSD Superintendent Dr. Cain Jagodzinski, applied for an Impact Aid Federal grant for the first time last year and realized during the application process this year that the Indian Policies and Procedures (IPPs) need to be approved annually as required in section 7004 of the Impact Aid. The board unanimously approved the IPPs at the special meeting to help Andreae meet the grant deadline.
