Fountain Hills Sanitary District requests cancellation of election

Only incumbents file for November election of directors

The Fountain Hills Sanitary District has requested that Maricopa County cancel its election for board of directors scheduled for November this year, according to District Manager Dana Trompke.

There are two seats on the Sanitary District Board of Directors with terms expiring this year, and only the two incumbents turned in nominating petitions prior to the deadline of July 7. With no additional candidates, state law allows the jurisdiction to cancel the election keeping the incumbents in office.

The incumbents with terms expiring are Gregg Dudash and Tammy Bell.
