When Fountain Hills resident Luca Patruno began writing his first feature film nearly five years ago, he knew the odds of it seeing the light of day might be slim.
Whether it was running out of funding, producers losing interest or lead actors dropping out of a project, Patruno has experienced a myriad of setbacks in one feature film. Thankfully for him and a dedicated community of horror fans, it’s only fueled his passion for creating more horror and slasher films.
“The Vindicator” is the title of Patruno’s first feature horror/thriller film which tells a tale of three friends who host a live-streamed, true crime podcast and receive a call from a serial killer. The killer challenges them to nightmarish games. Dark truths are exposed through psychological torment.
