State legislators to present

The next monthly meeting of the Fountain Hills Republican Club (FHRC) is Saturday, Jan. 20.

It has become a tradition that three state legislators provide an update of their priorities for this year’s session and immediately afterward, participate as auctioneers for the club’s annual, “White Elephant Auction,” said Chris Brant, spokesperson for the club.

“The auction will provide you the opportunity to give away that gift you didn’t want but got at Christmas or received for your last birthday, or just something you no longer have room for at home or in the office,” Brant added. “Please wrap the gift, if you have one, in either newspaper or wrapping paper and write the approximate value on the outside.

“You need not bring an item to participate in the auction so just sit back, join in the fun, and receive up-to-date information from our three state legislators.”

The Fountain Hills Republican Club meets the third Saturday of the month at the Fountain Hills Community Center, 13001 N. La Montana Drive., with registration at 8:30 a.m. and the program beginning at 9 a.m.

Guests are welcome to attend.
