Fountain Hills Unified School District faculty and students were recognized as part of “District Celebrations” at the April 16 FHUSD Governing Board meeting.
Little Falcons Preschool director Denise Matus praised custodian Milica Bulj and student Wyatt Evans.
McDowell Mountain Elementary School Principal Valerie Reichler acknowledged the positive contributions of paraprofessional Amber Anderson and student Athena Hall.
Fountain Hills Middle School Principal Dr. Kimberly Weeldreyer recognized sixth-grader Hannah Daniels and teacher Ruthie Vucinich.
Fountain Hills High School Principal Barrie Pinto described the contributions of psychologist Peter McGloin and student Talan Logan.
Superintendent Cain Jagodzinski praised Bulj, who he called “the nicest human, who does all the little things.”
The superintendent said Bulj, whose first name is pronounced like “Melissa,” is retiring and is also the district’s employee of the month.
“If I were a coach starting a team with an (expansion) draft, I’d take Milica first,” Jagodzinski said.
