Fountain Hills Planning and Zoning to review zoning ordinance draft

In process of organizing ordinance chapters

The Fountain Hills Planning and Zoning Commission will have discussion with possible action pertaining to revised commercial zoning district ordinances during its meeting on Monday, Aug. 10.

As the commission continues the process of reviewing revisions, it will go over zoning ordinance chapters 12 and 18, and will dissect the proposed Use Category. That includes groomers and daycare and training, which have been added under animal services; subcategories for contractors; event and reception centers; electric vehicle charging stations; automobile sales and rentals; pawn shops; and tattoo and body piercing studios.

While most are existing in the current ordinance, animal services, automobile sales and rentals, requirements for drive-up windows and standards for implementing a live/work use are new or changed.
