Fountain Hills Library offers flag disposal service

Fountain Hills Library is now offering a flag disposal service.

Flags that have become torn, tattered or faded can be “respectfully retired” at the library’s normal business hours (Monday - Wednesday, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Thursday - Saturday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.), at 12901 N. La Montana Dr., according to a press release.

Disposing of flags in this manner follows the U.S. Flag Code that was established in 1923.
