The Fountain Hills Leadership Academy has opened the application process for its 2026 class.
The applications are open until May 15, according to a press release. The club selects 15 people each year to take part in FHLA, which runs from mid-September through mid-November.
The program is designed to develop better-informed citizens through an eight-week course that immerses participants into the town’s governmental process, civic and community services, public safety, environmental management and more. FHLA began in 2016 and has graduated 130 alumni, some of which have assumed leadership roles in town government, local businesses and community volunteer organizations.
