The Fountain Hills Leadership Academy will offer a hike on the Fountain Overlook Trail, followed by coffee at Fountain View Coffee.
The hike at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, meets on the corner of Saguaro Boulevard and Panorama and will be led by Kyle Tolis, graduate of Class 9 and Snap Fitness general manager and personal trainer, according to a press release.
The FHLA program is offered through the non-profit I Love Fountain Hills and is designed to develop better-informed citizens. The eight-week course is an immersion into the town’s governmental processes, civic and community services, public safety, and environmental management. Classes are on Thursdays from mid-September through early November and the program will conclude with a graduation ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
