Organizers of a national Christian speech and debate tournament are looking for judges in the Fountain Hills area to take part in the Mars Hill Speech and Debate Camelback Classic. The club is local, but the event will be hosted in Glendale this year.

Participants can sign up for one or more speech and debate rounds, each lasting about three hours, according to a press release. This includes check-in, training, judging and writing a ballot. No experience is necessary.

“You do not need to be an expert in speech or debate to judge our competitors,” reads a press release announcing the upcoming tournament. “To judge, you just need to be at least 18 years old, a high school graduate and in good physical and mental health.”

Those interested in judging should email mhsdaz@gmail.com or call 480-233-3088 with additional questions.

The tournament will be held March 5-8 at Arizona Christian University, 1 W. Firestorm Way in Glendale.
