Crawling under barbed wire in the mud, climbing over obstacles and carrying sandbags up to 80 lbs. during Spartan Races for fun sounds like a young man’s game, but Paul Lachance has a blast doing it.
The 82-year-old Navy veteran will be running his 200th Spartan Race at Fort McDowell on Saturday, Feb. 17.
Lachance will fly down from Grand Junction, Colo., and has raced at Fort McDowell at least five times before. He runs in different events all around the country, and was instantly hooked after his first Spartan obstacle course in 2013.
