The Fountain Hills boys basketball team returned this season, competing in the Coyote Basketball Invitational. The Falcons played well during the tournament, winning every game they participated in and claiming the Coyote Basketball Invitational title after defeating Arizona Lutheran in a nail-biting game 35-33. On top of his game during the the whole competition, senior forward Matthew Heaney earned himself a spot on the first all invitational team.
“I’m happy to earn this award but it’s really all thanks to my team and coach Bonner. They push to my limit each game and I don’t want to let them down on the court. We put in a lot of work during this invitational and I’m happy to come out on top,” said Matthew Heaney.
