Fountain Hills High School preparing for the future

Students learning the criteria for the next level

Fountain Hills High School hosted a Future Freshmen Night at the school’s lecture hall. The event focused on teaching the upcoming freshmen and their parents the criteria to be successful at the next educational level. During the meeting, Fountain Hills High School Principal Barrie Pinto , teachers Kristinia Robinson and Siirri Julian discussed the various types of diplomas, credits needed, classes and extra-curricular activities offered at the high school.

Pinto shared more on the main purpose of the introduction to the upcoming freshmen. “The main goal is, first, to ease, incoming freshmen parents’ and students’ worries about what high school is all about and, you know, what kind of classes do I have to take, how many credits do I have to have?” Pinto said.  “We like to do it early so that there’s time for discussions and conversations at home. We talked about the three different diplomas. If they must really make that decision kind of day one of ninth grade, and we want to give families an opportunity to discuss that and decide.”
