Amanda Baca and Alicia Ibarra were each celebrated at the last home Fountain Hills High School girls basketball game on Tuesday, Jan. 23.
Athletic Director Evelyn Wynn surprised Baca with a plaque recognizing her 200th career win, and Ibarra was greeted with a roar from the crowd on senior night.
“It’s awesome,” Baca said. “I didn’t expect that at all. Wynn does a real good job going above and beyond recognizing coaches and making us feel important. 200 wins is a lot under your belt for my career, and I think the special thing, and the thing that maybe some coaches don’t recognize, is it was all done here.”
