The Fountain Hills Fire Department and Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation Fire Department responded to a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi truck and car along State Route 87 just north of the Town of Fountain Hills around 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, according to the department spokesperson Mike Pelton.
One patient was reported trapped in the sedan, requiring crews to stabalize the vehicle and perform an extraction. They were then transported to a trauma center with multiple undisclosed injuries.
Crews report the patient in the semi was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
