The 19th annual Fountain Hills Elks Golf Tournament is planned for Saturday, May 10, at Desert Canyon Golf Club.
All proceeds go to fund scholarships for continuing education for Fountain Hills seniors, homeless veterans and community projects.
The Elks are hoping to have participation by the Fountain Hills golf team to help raise funds to support the local youth golf program, according to a press release.
The golf tournament includes three flights: men’s, women’s and co-ed, and all four par 3s will have a hole in one prize with one prize being $10,000.
There will be on-course games as well as raffles, 50/50 and a silent auction. The price of playing is $150 which includes a cart and lunch.
This is a four-person, best-ball scramble with everyone having a chance to play.
The check-in time is 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. There is a limit of 120 players so players are encouraged to register early. Those who do not plan to play but would like to support the cause can donate $50, $250 or $350 (sponsor of a $10,000 hole) which includes a hole sponsorship with a personal sign.
For questions or to register, call Jack Radavich at 480-231-1766 or stop by the Lodge at 16766 E. Parkview Ave. on Tuesday, Thursday or Friday. The Lodge opens at 5 p.m. A lunch and a celebration party after the tournament will be held at the Lodge where prizes will be awarded and raffle items can be claimed. The silent auction includes several high-end items. Last year’s silent auction included golf outings, resort overnights, trips, golf equipment and more.
