The Fountain Hills dog park, located in Desert Vista Park, will officially re-open on Monday, July 27. A July 6 re-opening date was pushed back, as the park required additional time to allow for the turf to fully set, according to Town Public Information Officer Mike Pelton.
"We appreciate everyone's patience and are excited for the community to enjoy the enhancements.," Pelton said in a statement to the Times Independent.
The town purposefully planned the park closure during the lower usage months to minimize impact to dog owners. For those four-leged residents eager to get back out and socialize, the dog park will officially re-open at 10 a.m. Monday, immediately after town staff mows the grass.
