The Fountain Hills Christian Writers Group (FHCWG) will participate in the upcoming Presby Pickin's flea market Saturday, Dec. 7, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The flea market is held in the parking lot of the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church, 13001 N. Fountain Hills Boulevard.

At this author event, attendees can purchase books, framed poetry and other gift items created by local writers from Fountain Hills and the surrounding area who are available to sign purchased books.

FHCWG is an association of writers encouraging writers, according to a press release. The group meets the second Friday of each month in the Presbyterian Church’s Fireside Room from 9 a.m. until noon.

The group meetings normally include prayer and devotional time, announcements, a brief instructional time and critique.

Those who follow Christ and want to use their communication skills to minister to others through the written word are welcome to join the group at any time.

There are no membership dues or fees. Beginners or published authors are welcome to stop in, hone their skills and be encouraged in their craft as a Christian writer.
