The Fountain Hills High School boys basketball team has made the playoffs for an eighth consecutive year, and they will likely host the first round at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
The Falcons wanted a first round bye, but they’ve lost two games in a row for the first time since 2022. They fell from No. 9 to No. 13 after a 63-50 loss at No. 20 Scottsdale Christian (8-8) on Feb. 2, and they lost to No. 7 Northwest Christian 57-45 on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
Head coach Jeff Bonner has taken these losses in stride and turned them into coaching opportunities for the players. Late in the season, he said practices can get stale, but the losses serve as a reminder for them not to get complacent.
