Next community blood drive is Nov. 21-22

The Fountain Hills community came together during its recent two-day blood drive, surpassing the goal of 100 blood products with a total of 105 donations.

The Fountain Hills community came together during its recent two-day blood drive, surpassing the goal of 100 blood products with a total of 105 donations.

“August is tough, but as a giving community you proved tougher,” wrote Paul Heintz in an address to donors.

As part of the event, blood donor David Noll was randomly selected as the winner of a Vitalant prize pack, which included sunscreen and a travel mug.

The last blood drive of the year is scheduled for Nov. 21 and 22. Heintz encourages residents to invite friends and neighbors to join the effort and help fill even more chairs at the upcoming event.

“As always, I am open to ideas on how to spread awareness of our blood drives throughout our community and local businesses,” Heintz said.
