The community is invited to the next Fountain Hills Artists’ Gallery’s weekly demonstration Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The featured artist for the event is jewelry artist Linda J. Lawrence.
Lawrence designs and handcrafts jewelry, specializing in contemporary beaded kumihimo and bead weaving techniques. Lawrence says she strives for comfortably elegant and contemporary pieces that can be worn effortlessly.
Her work often incorporates semi-precious gemstones, pearls and hand-blown glass beads.
“I love the tactile and repetitive experience of beading, and the ever-evolving combination of techniques, colors and textures,” Lawrence said. “Most recently I discovered contemporary geometric beadwork and created jewelry from geometric forms.”
The gallery is located at 16858 E. Avenue of the Fountains and is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
