Fountain Hills Art League meets Nov. 4

Artist Nancy Grahlmann to present

Posted

Fountain Hills Art League will meet at the Community Center Monday, Nov. 4, at 6 p.m.

Local Artist Nancy Grahlmann will demonstrate the properties of precious metal clay.

Members are invited to bring in artwork for the selection of Artist of the Month.

Attendees can view guidelines for displaying art in the membership booklet.

There will also be tickets available for a 50/50 drawing.

Grahlmann’s presentation will include information about precious metal clay. This clay was developed and produced by Mitsubishi Materials Corporation of Japan in 1991, an eco-friendly product containing recycled metals.

The clay acts as a binder for the metals and burns away to reveal the metal left in whatever form has been created.

It is widely used in jewelry making.
