Fountain Hills approves Accelerate ASU partnership

In-house dual enrollment opportunity

The Fountian Hills Unified School District (FHUSD) governing board unanimously approved a partnership with Accelerate ASU at the business meeting on Wednesday, May 15.

Accelerate ASU will allow Fountain Hills students to take college-level courses designed by Arizona State University faculty in Fountain Hills High School classrooms. Students will be able to dual enroll and earn college credit with low costs and low risks.

Students will have the option to include their grade on their transcript, so if they don’t achieve a high grade, it won’t negatively impact their college applications. There will be an application process, and students will need recommendations from teachers to take Accelerate ASU classes.
