Foster Your Future, the Fountain Hills-based 501(c)3 that supports young adults out of foster care, recently accepted 25 lunch boxes and a $300 donation for its young adults from two Fountain Hills Middle School students.

Margo Sampson and Dana Srar assembled 25 lunch boxes filled with small containers, ice packs and simple recipes for Foster Your Future’s young adults.

“Volunteers are the true backbone of Foster Your Future. From youth looking for volunteer hours that have true grit, to our many adults helping with inventory, packaging, making thank you and birthday cards, as well as representing FYF at events,” said FYF Founder Ginny Paulsen. “I know it is said so often ‘without them we couldn’t do it,’ but with this organization it’s really true.”

A few months ago, Paulsen said an unnamed college student also helped FYF young adults by creating a resource list on housing, childcare, healthcare, food, credentials and clothing.

“Thank you so much for making this dream for our young adults come true,” Paulsen said.

FYF is currently planning a Holiday Household Giving volunteer event in November.
