Members of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation will be going to the polls on Tuesday, Jan. 9, to select a Tribal Council president, treasurer and an at-large council member.
Incumbents are running for all three seats, and they all have challengers for their position.
Tribal President Bernadine Burnett is running for another term for the job she has held for a long time. She is facing a challenge from Sandra Pattea, daughter of former Tribal President, the late Clinton Pattea. She is also a retired commissioned officer of the United States Public Health Service.
