The Falcons returned to the home field Friday evening, Oct. 16, going on to drop a high-scoring game against the Coolidge Bears, 38-20.
The game was actually a bit closer than the final score lets on, with a rough second quarter serving as the deciding factor in an otherwise tight match-up.
The teams played even through the first quarter, scoring seven apiece.
The Falcons’ defense broke down in the second, however, giving the visiting team from Coolidge an unanswered 21 points.
With neither team lighting up the scoreboard through the third and the Falcons actually outscoring the Bears 13-10 in the fourth, the final outcome still had Coolidge up by a solid 18 points.
Looking ahead, the Falcons will play their final home game of the season against Coronado this Friday, Oct. 23. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., with Senior Night recognition occurring at halftime.
