Seasonal residents of the Verde Communities preparing to leave for the summer or those who are just cleaning out the pantry, are invited to help the hungry by donating canned and unopened packaged goods (with valid expiration dates) to the Extended Hands Food Bank in Fountain Hills.
A collection bin is in the Rio Verde Post Office now through Memorial Day and in the Community Church of the Verdes’ narthex on Sundays and the church office during business hours. The Rotary Club of the Verdes is helping out with the food drive.
